It’s Confirmed! Aashiqui 3 to be Jointly Produced by Vishesh Films and T-Series

Aashiqui 3 to be a Continued Joint Venture between Vishesh Films and T-Series.

Recently a news came out, that Vishesh Films would be collaborating with a leading production house other than T-Series for the third installment of franchise Aashqiui. Elucidating rumors surrounding this association, Vishesh Films thereby made an announcement, that Aashiqui 3 will be a continued joint venture between them and T-Series only.

Vishesh Films and T-Series together created the franchise Aashiqui back in 1990, which starred Rahul Roy and Anu Agarwal. Then in 2013, both the production houses once again joined hands for the musical blockbuster Aashiqui 2. Directed by Mohit Suri, the film which featured Aditya Roy Kapur and Shraddha Kapoor, turned out to be a huge success.

Mukesh Bhatt of Vishesh Films said, “The Aashiqui franchise is a labor of love, which was created by my brother, Mahesh Bhatt, Shri Gulshan Kumar and myself back in 1990. Our association for the movies with T-Series has been a proud and a dear one, and will continue being so for Aashiqui 3. This is a partnership between Vishesh Films and T-Series only and we are very excited to continue this journey with them.”

With similar emotions, Bhushan Kumar of T-Series said, “Aashiqui has been a film which is close to our hearts and I will be working on this film with Bhatt Saab and Mukesh Ji. It is a film which will be made under T-Series and Vishesh Films banner, as always. Aashiqui is a successful association that we have and will continue to have.”

Reportedly Aashiqui 3 is to be directed by Mohit Suri and right now in scripting stage. The film’s script is being written by Alia’s sister Shaheen Bhatt. Reports also say that the third installment might bring Alia Bhatt and Sidharth Malhotra together on silver screen for the third time after 2012’s Student Of The Year and 2016’s Kapoor & Sons. Official announcement regarding the casting is still awaited.
