Akshay Kumar’s Upcoming Films- Jolly LLB 2, Crack, Ikka, 2.0, Toilet, Five Etc.

Akshay has Number of Movies in Hand for 2017 & 2018

Superstar Akshay Kumar is the busiest and most versatile actor of Bollywood, usually does 3-4 movies in a year. This year he had three movies- Airlift, Housefull 3 and Rustom, which have already released and raked over 100 crores at domestic box office. So far Airlift is the second highest grossing Hindi movie of the year, followed by Rustom and Housefull 3. Which means among top 5 highest grossing movies of 2016, three belongs to Akshay.

These days the actor is busy in shooting of his next Jolly LLB 2 with director Subhash Kapoor. This is the sequel of 2013’s Arshad Warsi starrer courtroom drama Jolly LLB, scheduled to be released next year on 10th of February. Opposite to Akshay, it features Huma Qureshi, Annu Kapoor and Saurabh Shukla, who is reprising his role from the prequel.

After Jolly LLB 2, second movie of Akshay is likely to be Toilet: Ek Prem Katha opposite to actress Bhumi Pednekar. It is the satirical comedy based on PM Narendra Modi’s Swachh Bharat Abhiyan and the fifth movie of the actor with filmmaker Neeraj Pandey after Special 26, Baby, Rustom & Crack (to be released next year).

Earlier Akshay Kumar & Neeraj Pandey’s fourth collaboration Crack which is scheduled to be released near Independence Day on 11th August, was supposed to be the second movie of Akshay in 2017. But now as per reports, Toilet: Ek Prem Katha will go on floor before Crack. Meanwhile the actor will also be seen in a cameo appearance in Neeraj Pandey’s Naam Shabana.

After Crack, Akshay will start the shooting for action drama Ikka of director A.R.Murugadoss. This is the official remake of Vijay starrer Tamil movie Kaththi, and scheduled to be released in the fourth quarter of 2017. Next year, Akshay will also be seen in the biggest Indian movie so far i.e. Enthiran 2.0 with superstar Rajinikanth and Amy Jackson. This is the sequel of 2010’s blockbuster Enthiran (Robot) and Akshay is playing as an antagonist in it.

Also recently directer Omung Kumar has made an announcement of his next venture with Akshay Kumar, titled as Five. It is the psychological love story, scheduled to be released on 26 January 2018 and the actor has five distinct roles in it. Along with these Namastey England with Sonakshi Sinha, Rohit Shetty’s next, Hera Pheri 3 (now Akshay Kumar is finalized in it), Sajid Khan’s Housefull 4, Divya Khosla Kumar’s next & more are also awaited.
