Arjun Kapoor and Parineeti Chopra to team up once again for YRF’s Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar

After impressing everyone in their debut film Ishaqzaade (2012), Arjun Kapoor and Parineeti Chopra are all set to team up for the second time in a film, titled Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar. Produced by Aditya Chopra’s Yash Raj Films, it’s a dramatic thriller and directed by Dibakar Banerjee.

In a statement of YRF, makers revealed, “Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar is a story of a man and a woman who represent two completely different India. Two more unlikely protagonists in one film are unimaginable. They are united in one thing only- their mistrust, suspicion and hate for each other.”

While the director Dibakar Banerjee said, “This feels like my first film, again. I’ve had to unlearn everything I know to tell this story about a man and a woman who can’t stand each other, but can’t survive without each other.” Earlier Dibakar had directed Titli (2014) and Detective Byomkesh Bakshi (2015) for YRF.

Arjun and Parineeti commenced their career together with Ishaqzaade in 2012 and once again they are all set to recreate the magic of their sizzling chemistry. On July 3, the actor took to twitter and wrote, “Guess who’s back together #SandeepAurPinkyFaraar @ParineetiChopra & me are ready to entertain u once again with @DibakarBanerjee & @yrf !!!”. On the other hand, actress tweeted, “SANDEEP AUR PINKY FARAAR 🚘 soooo excited for this one!!! @arjunk26 #DibakarBanerjee”.

Arjun Kapoor said, “It feels great to be back home at YRF working with Adi Sir and Parineeti, my most amazing and first ever co- actor. Dibakar Banerjee is one of the torchbearers of evolving new age cinema that engages and entertains. I can’t wait to work under his tutelage and vision. Main Dibakar aur Parineeti ke saath faraar hone ke liye fully tayyar and excited hoon.”

While Parineeti Chopra said, “After Ishaqzaade, Arjun and I used to dream about working with Dibakar one day! His films are so different and always make an impact. I am so ready to sink my teeth into this character and give the audience something intense!”.
