Diljit Dosanjh Plays Hockey Legend Sandeep Singh in Soorma, First Look Out

The superstar of Punjabi Cinema Diljit Dosanjh who has now gained huge popularity among Bollywood fans as well, is all set to play hockey legend Sandeep Singh in his next Hindi film titled ‘Soorma’. Directed by Shaad Ali, film tells the comeback story of the star player after he was hit in an accidental gunshot in 2006.

In the morning on November 28, Diljit Dosanjh took to twitter to share the first look poster of Soorma with his fans. He captioned, “A hockey stick and a bullet…One gave direction to his life while the other changed it forever! #SOORMA – The greatest comeback story ever! 29th June”.

The poster looks very promising, shows two versions of Diljit as Sandeep Singh. One as an aggressive ready-to-attack player on the field while on the other hand, we see him bounded in wheelchair. There is a caption on the poster that increases interest, ‘the greatest comeback story of the hockey legend Sandeep Singh’.

A day back, makers had revealed the teaser poster of the film featuring Diljit and Sandeep both. Diljit Dosanjh who made his debut in Bollywood with Udta Punjab, is very much excited for stepping into the shoes of Sandeep Singh. Undoubtedly it will be one of the most anticipated films of 2018.

Opposite to Diljit, Soorma stars very talented Taapsee Pannu as a leading lady while Angad Bedi in a crucial role. Produced by Sony Pictures Networks Productions, Chitrangda Singh and Deepak Singh, it is set to release on 29 June 2018. Meanwhile Diljit is also working in Gadbad in New York with Sonakshi Sinha and Arjun Patiala with Kriti Sanon.
