Kabir Khan’s Directorial ‘Tubelight’ Goes on Floor on July 28 in Ladakh
After giving the recent blockbuster Sultan, superstar Salman Khan is all set to start shooting for his next with director Kabir Khan. The movie is interestingly titled as ‘Tubelight’, which goes on floor from today i.e July 28 in Ladakh. The director himself confirmed the news via social media, also he shared some pics of the location. This successful duo has already given two blockbuster movies together – Ek Tha Tiger and Bajrangi Bhaijaan, now they are ready to hit hat-trick.
Reportedly, Salman Khan is playing a bizarre character of person with special needs. The actor is likely to play a man-child who is bit slow in learning things, that is why the title is ‘Tubelight‘. This is first time when Salman is playing such character in his career. Director Kabir Khan has taken special effort to make sure that the character is presented sensitively in the movie.
According to sources, after completing 1-day shoot of Bigg Boss 10, Salman left for Ladakh on July 25. He spent 2 days there to get accustomed to the new climatic conditions. And as per schedule, the shooting of ‘Tubelight’ begins from July 28. Kabir Khan himself tweeted yesterday, that the crew of 200 strength is acclimatized and is ready to roll.
Tubelight is a period movie set in the back drop of 1962’s Indo-China war, slated for Eid 2017. It is a love story of an Indian guy and a Chinese girl. Earlier there was a buzz, related to its female lead; Deepika Padukone and Katrina Kaif were the two tossing names for this role. But at last none of them has selected and a debutante Chinese actress is playing opposite to Salman Khan. Sohail Khan is also a part of the cast and playing a role of Salman’s brother.
