10th Day Collection of Tubelight, Salman-Zhu Zhu Starrer Crosses 115 Crore with 2nd Weekend

It’s not easy to digest, but yes! superstar Salman Khan’s highly awaited film Tubelight has crashed within a week at box office and now struggling to attract audience toward theaters. After blockbusters like Ek Tha Tiger and Bajrangi Bhaijaan, director Kabir Khan and Salman tried new genre but unfortunately got failed to impress viewers.

The film which was earlier expected to take box office by storm, has actually got failed to remain steady throughout the opening week. Despite the solid star power of Salman Khan and wide scale promotions, Tubelight recorded lower start than earlier expectations and lost most of it’s hold over the audience within first week.

In the opening weekend, this war drama did the business of 64.77 on a flat note, that included 21.15 crores of Friday, 21.17 crores of Saturday and 22.45 crores of Sunday from 4350 screens across the country.

Due to mixed reviews from critics as well as audience, Tubelight witnessed abrupt drops in weekdays and added the amount of 19.09 crores on Monday (Eid), 12 crores on Tuesday, 6.50 crores on Wednesday and 4.50 crores on Thursday.

After a week, total collection of the film was recorded as 106.86 crores at domestic box office. Now it has been entered in the second week and once again disappoint everyone with it’s performance in this weekend.

With heavy drop on it’s second Friday than previous day, Tubelight managed to collect the amount of 2.15 crores. On Saturday, it showed jump and raked the business of 2.80 crores.

On Sunday due to public holiday, Salman Khan starrer received little growth and garnered the business of 3.30 crores. With this, total domestic collection of Tubelight after 10 days has become 115.11 crores.
