Some how with the end of it’s second weekend, Salman Khan’s latest offering Tubelight was entered 200 crore (gross) club worldwide though, but actually it got failed to impress viewers and received cold reviews from everyone. Killing all the earlier expectations, the movie crashed down within a week.
Directed by Kabir Khan, Tubelight was released last week with huge excitement of fans as well as audience, but unfortunately disappointed most of them. From critics also, it got mixed reviews and low star ratings. As a result, remained flat over the opening weekend and witnessed abrupt drops after that.
After registering year’s second biggest opening of 21.15 crores in Hindi cinema, Salman Khan starrer remained almost flat throughout the weekend due to cold reactions of viewers and dropped by a heavy rate in weekdays. It did the business of 106.86 crores in a week, that included 64.77 crores of weekend and 42.09 crores of weekdays from 4350 screens across India.
Now this war drama is running in it’s second week and didn’t receive much growth in the weekend. With further decline, Tubelight collected the amount of 8.25 crores in the second weekend, including 2.15 crores of Friday, 2.80 crores of Saturday and 3.30 crores of Sunday.
Once again, Salman & Kabir’s latest collaboration has entered in weekdays and witnessed considerable dip in footfalls. On 2nd Monday, Tubelight faced around 47% of drop than Friday and bagged the amount of only 1.15 crore. With this, total 11 days collection of the movie has become 116.26 crores at domestic box office.
