12th Day Collection of Baadshaho & Shubh Mangal Saavdhan, Ayushmann-Bhumi’s Film Emerges Hit

Last week released Hindi film Baadshaho and Shubh Mangal Saavdhan are showing good performance in the second week as well, despite having several new offerings in opposite. Both the films completed the opening week on an overall good note and also got higher response than new ones in the second weekend.

12th Day Collection of Baadshaho & Shubh Mangal Saavdhan

Baadshaho is the second collaboration of director Milan Luthria with superstar Ajay Devgn and Emraan Hashmi after 2010’s Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai. It is the story of gold heist set against the backdrop of 1975 during the time of Emergency in India and stars Vidyut Jammwal, Ileana D’cruz, Esha Gupta and Sanjay Mishra in lead roles alongside Ajay & Emraan.

In the opening week, this historical action drama showed good performance and did the business of 64.14 crores, that included 43.30 crores of weekend and 20.84 crores of weekdays from 2800 screens across India. Then in the second weekend, it raked the business of 7.73 crores with 2.10 crores on Friday, 2.60 crores on Saturday and 3.03 crores on Sunday.

Now the film is running in weekdays once again and asusual getting lesser footfalls in theaters than before. On 2nd Monday it faced 31% of drop than Friday and minted 1.45 crore. On the next day i.e. Tuesday with slight further drop, Baadshaho raked 1.15 crore and raised it’s 12 days total to 74.47 crores.

On the other hand, RS Prasanna’s directorial Shubh Mangal Saavdhan is a quirky love story which is being liked by all the viewers. In the opening week, it garnered the business of 24.03 crores, that included 14.46 crores of weekend and 9.57 crores of weekdays from 1400 screens nationwide.

In the second weekend as well, Ayushmann Khurrana and Bhumi Pednekar starrer romantic comedy received well and emerged as 7th hit of the year from Hindi cinema. It collected the amount of 8.73 crores with 1.54 crore on Friday, 2.95 crores on Saturday and 3.34 crores on Sunday.

Now it is running in weekdays and asusual witnessing lesser audience in theaters. On 2nd Monday, Shubh Mangal Saavdhan bagged the amount of 1.04 crore with around 32.5% of drop than Friday. Then on 2nd Tuesday, it bagged the amount of 1.02 crore and raised it’s 12 days domestic total to 33.92 crores.
