‘Captain America Civil War’ Crosses 56 Cr in 14 Days across India

The third installment of Marvel’s one of the most popular superhero franchises Captain America completes its 2 weeks journey at box office on an excellent note. The movie Captain America: Civil War is performing amazingly well across the globe including India. Despite number of Bollywood movies, this Hollywood’s one is witnessing terrific response on Indian box office. This shows the popularity of English movies among Indian audience. There is another one The Jungle Book, which is running in its 6th week but still has enough hold over audience across the country.

In the opening week, Captain America: Civil War successfully dominated the previous superhero movie Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice and reported the outstanding business of 42.72 cr, that includes 27.13 cr of weekend and 15.59 cr of weekdays. In the second weekend, it remained unaffected by new Hindi release Azhar and minted the amount of 8.85 cr including 2.02 cr of Friday, 3.27 cr of Saturday and 3.56 cr of Sunday.

Once again, the movie is running in weekdays and asusual getting lesser response than weekend. With continuous drops in its business, it has minted the amount of 1.44 cr on Monday, 1.31 cr on Tuesday and 1.20 cr on Wednesday. On the last day of week i.e. Thursday, it started the day with slightly lesser occupancy and collected the amount of around 1.11 cr as its 14th day collection.

After two weeks on Indian box office, total collection of Captain America: Civil War is recorded as 56.63 cr. Now from this Friday, another waited Hollywood movie X-Men: Apocalypse is being released, so it won’t be easy for Civil War to maintain a decent pace in its third week.
