1st Day Collection Prediction of Ittefaq, Ribbon & Thor Ragnarok at Indian Box Office

[Total: 6 Average: 3.2]

This Friday three notable offerings are being released at box office, that include Hindi films Ittefaq, Ribbon & American superhero film Thor Ragnarok. Among these, obviously the Hollywood one has highest hype among audience and also the existing Golmaal Again is doing excellent. So for the new Hindi films, this week would definitely be challenging.

Directed by Abhay Chopra, Ittefaq is a suspense thriller stars Sidharth Malhotra, Sonakshi Sinha and Akshaye Khanna in lead roles. Jointly produced by Dharma Productions and Red Chillies Entertainment, it is inspired by the 1969’s Hindi film with same title which was directed by Yash Chopra.

With unique promotional strategy on social media, makers have set good buzz of Ittefaq but it’s not a big ticket film, so there is no high expectations with it. Talking about actors’ previous records, then Sidharth’s last release A Gentleman tasted big failure at box office and the same happened with Sonakshi’s Noor.

Considering the reports and the fact that Ittefaq has a competition with highly buzzed Thor Ragnarok & couple of weeks back released Golmaal Again, it seems to open in range of 3.50-4.50 crores at domestic box office. The film can rise, if it gets succeed to engage audience.

On the other hand drama film Ribbon starring Kalki Koechlin and web series Permanent Roommates fame Sumeet Vyas in lead roles, doesn’t have much buzz and it’s quite difficult for this to survive in clutter. But as Rakhee Sandilya’s directorial looks delightful, it can open in range of 0.40-0.50 crore.

The last but the biggest film of this week, Thor Ragnarok is buzzing among Indian audience since announcement and now when it is ready to hit screens, all are looking very much excited. Marvel’s this offering is the third installment of Thor franchise and positively expected to get excellent response in metro cities.

As per report, Thor Ragnarok can open in range of 7-8 crores nett at Indian box office and it is the only one in this week which can slowdown the performance of Golmaal Again.
