Superstar Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif’s recent collaboration Tiger Zinda Hai has already crossed the mark of 300 crore at domestic box office and 500 crore globally. After 2 uninterrupted weeks, the movie remained strong in third week as well and has come closer to 2015’s Bajrangi Bhaijaan.
Presented by Yash Raj Films’, Tiger Zinda Hai is the sequel to 2012’s blockbuster Ek Tha Tiger and was released good recall value. With high initial buzz and solid star power, it opened to a massive note and showed remarkable jumps over the opening weekend.
By remaining strong in weekdays as well, TZH registered the business of total 206.04 crores in the first week that included 114.93 crores in weekend and 91.11 crores in weekdays from 4600 screens across India.
In the second week, Ali Abbas Zafar’s directorial reported good performance and did the business of 85.51 crores with 48.71 crores in weekend and 36.80 crores in weekdays. In it’s third week, once again this action thriller showed fair jumps and minted the amount of 17.61 crores that included 3.72 crores on 3rd Friday, 5.62 crores on 3rd Saturday and 8.27 crores on 3rd Sunday.
Then in weekdays, asusual Tiger Zinda Hai witnessed abrupt drop in footfalls but still managed to maintain good pace. With approx. 27% of drop than last Friday, it raked 2.72 crores on 3rd Monday, 2.56 crores on 3rd Tuesday, 2.30 crores on 3rd Wednesday and 2.12 crores on 3rd Thursday.
After 3 weeks of release, total collection of the movie has become 318.86 crores at domestic box office. Despite several new offerings, Salman-Katrina starrer is expected to perform decently in its fourth week.
