After the under-performed opening week, Salman Khan starrer Tubelight is struggling at box office and some how completed it’s 3 weeks of release. It’s a huge disappointment for fans as well as the entire industry, that the highly awaited movie with solid star power has crashed so badly within a week.
After the historical performance of Baahubali 2, Kabir Khan’s directorial Tubelight was also expected to create magic on box office. But unfortunately nothing came out in it’s favor and just after three weeks, the movie is almost vanished from theaters.
In it’s third week, the latest collaboration of Salman and Kabir recorded limited footfalls in theaters and reported the business of only 0.48 crore in the weekend, that included 0.14 crore of Friday, 0.16 crore of Saturday and 0.18 crore of Sunday.
While in weekdays with further dips, Tubelight managed to collect the amount of 0.07 crore on Monday, 0.05 crores on Tuesday and 0.04 crore on Wednesday. On the last of week i.e. Thursday, it collected 0.04 crore and made it’s third week collection as 0.20 crore.
In the opening week, this war drama got lesser response than expected and did the business of 106.86 crores with 64.77 crores in weekend and 42.09 crores in weekdays. In the second week, the movie dropped abruptly and fetched only 11.65 crores with 8.25 crores in weekend and 3.40 crores in weekdays.
With this, total collection of Tubelight after 3 weeks, has become 119.19 crores at domestic box office. From overseas market, it has grossed approx. 46 crores and raised it’s worldwide gross total to 211.54 crores including 165.54 crores gross from India.
