24th Day Collection of Toilet Ek Prem Katha TEPK, Earns 132.60 Crore Total with 4th Weekend

Year’s one of the few successful Hindi movies, Toilet Ek Prem Katha has been slowed down now due to new offerings but still getting considerable response at box office across the country. Inspired by true incidents and endorsing ‘Swachh Bharat Abhiyan‘, this satirical romantic drama has impressed everyone globally.

Superstar Akshay Kumar and Bhumi Pednekar’s first collaboration TEPK has received very positive reviews from most of the critics and gained strong word of mouth. As a result it had emerged as third highest grossing movie of the year so far within 2 weeks of release.

Toilet Ek Prem Katha has not only ended the long dry spell of Indian box office but also set new height for Akshay’s career. It has become the 8th 100 crore grosser at domestic box office, while first 200 crore grosser worldwide. Also has acquired the second position among his top highest grossing movies.

In the opening week, it witnessed amazing response from audience throughout and did the business of 96.05 crores from approx. 3000 screens nationwide. That included 51.45 crores of weekend and 44.60 crores of weekdays.

In the second week as well the movie remained almost good and minted the amount of 28.35 crores with 19 crores of weekend and 9.35 crores of weekdays. Then in the third week, TEPK slowed down by usual rate and bagged the amount of 7 crores including 4.50 crores of weekend and 2.50 crores of weekdays.

After 3 weeks total collection of Akshay-Bhumi starrer was recorded as 131.40 crores. Now it is running in the fourth week and once again took jump in weekend. On 4th Friday, Toilet Ek Prem Katha raked the business of 0.20 crore with around 64% of drop than previous day.

On 4th Saturday due to Eid holiday, the movie showed fair growth and minted 0.40 crore of business. Then on the next day i.e. Sunday, it reported further growth and added the amount of 0.60 crore to it’s account. With this, total 24 days collection of TEPK has become 132.60 crores at domestic box office.
