2nd Day Collection of Jab Harry Met Sejal JHMS, Earns Over 30 Crore Total in 2 Days

Third collaboration of superstar Shahrukh Khan and Anushka Sharma after 2008’s Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi and 2012’s Jab Tak Hai Jaan, Jab Harry Met Sejal kicked off on an almost excellent note but received mixed reviews from critics as well as audience. Like SRK’s last few movies, this one too got failed to make desired impact.

As per critics, despite having the king of romance Shahrukh Khan and very talented Anushka Sharma with stunning locales of Europe, disappointingly director Imtiaz Ali has delivered such a low powered movie. It could have been better definitely, if he worked sincerely on the script.

Jab Harry Met Sejal was released on Friday with huge expectations, as Bollywood has given only few hits in this year so far. On the opening day, it took good start with 40-45% occupancy and did the business of 15.25 crores from 3200 screens across the country.

The opening business of the movie is not impressive ofcourse and also below the expected mark but if we consider the current scenario of box office, then it is good enough. With this, it has emerged as the fourth highest opener of the year after Baahubali 2 Hindi (41 crores), Tubelight (21.15 crores) and Raees (20.42 crores).

Then on the next day i.e. Saturday, due to mixed reviews the movie hasn’t witnessed any growth and garnered the business of 15 crores with slight jump in footfalls. After 2 days of release, total collection of Jab Harry Met Sejal is recorded as 30.25 crores nett at domestic box office.

SRK-Anushka starrer still has Sunday and Monday (Raksha Bandhan) to add big business figures to it’s account. But also it has only this week to perform on a full fledged note at box office, because superstar Akshay Kumar’s much awaited Toilet Ek Prem Katha is ready to make the run of JHMS difficult from next Friday.
