‘Independence Day: Resurgence’ Gets Higher Among All

The week proves as disappointing for the fans of Bollywood, as there is no good option for them to watch in theaters. Among three Hindi movies- Raman Raghav 2.0, Junooniyat and 7 Hours To Go, only Nawazuddin Siddiqui starrer Raman Raghav 2.0 is getting considerable response. Even that is too dominated by the Hollywood’s Independence Day: Resurgence & Punjabi movie Sardaar Ji 2.

Anurag Kashyap’s directorial Raman Raghav 2.0 is a psycho thriller movie. On the opening day it received dull response and minted the amount of only 1.10 crore. Whereas the second one, Yami Gautam & Pulkit Samrat starrer action romantic Junooniyat reported very low occupancy and did the business of only 0.40 crore in India. The third one 7 Hours To Go is just a slot filler and minted only 0.15 crore on Friday.

On Saturday, despite being weekend none of these witnessed any decent growth in its business and fared the amount of 1.40 crore, 0.45 crore* and 0.16 crore* respectively. There are no much expectations with these to show some growth on Sunday. It will be surprising if any one survived after the weekend.

Tamil remake of Hindi movie Nil Battey Sannata has also been released this week with the title Amma Kanakku. As the original, this one too received positive reviews from critics but has not witnessed much on box office. It did the business of 1.25 crore* on Friday and minted around 0.75 crore* on Saturday.

The American science fiction Independence Day: Resurgence has not received much positive reviews from critics across the globe but still it reported highest business of this Friday in India. It minted the amount of 4.70 crores on its opening day. On Saturday being weekend, it received decent growth in its business and added the amount of 5.80 crores to its account including English, Hindi, Tamil & Telugu versions.
