New Hindi films released at Indian box office this Friday, Tumhari Sulu and Aksar 2 are facing heavy competition because of American superhero action adventure flick Justice League (English). Like Thor Ragnarok, this Hollywood offering too dominating the Bollywood ones at their home ground.
Although Justice League is not getting desired response globally but in India the wind is blowing in it’s favor despite mixed critics reviews. The growing craze of Indian audience towards foreign films, is one of the major reasons behind such good performance of Warner Bros & DC’s latest presentation.
On the opening day, Justice League opened to a solid note and registered the business of 5.25 crores despite being released only in English language across India. While on the next day i.e. Saturday, it showed fair growth and minted 6.25 crores to raise it’s 2 days total collection to 11.50 crores nett (14.74 crores gross).
On the other hand, Vidya Balan starrer comedy drama Tumhari Sulu has been released with good buzz but got a lower start than expected due to clutter. Fortunately it is being liked by everyone, which is helping it to take good growth over the weekend.
On Friday, Suresh Triveni’s directorial started it’s journey on an average note and minted the amount of 2.87 crores. Then on Saturday, as expected Tumhari Sulu witnessed good growth and raked the business of 4.61 crores to take it’s 2 days domestic total to 7.48 crores.
While another Hindi offering, erotic thriller Aksar 2 has been released with least buzz and unfortunately receiving unfavorable remarks from critics as well as audience. On Friday, it opened to a dull note and did the business of 0.80 crore.
On Saturday due to weekend, it showed decent growth and garnered the business of 1 crore. With this, 2 days total collection of Aksar 2 has become 1.80 crore at domestic box office.
