Gold and Satyameva Jayate 23rd Day Box Office Collection, 3 Weeks Domestic Report

Two much-awaited Hindi offerings of Independence Day, Akshay Kumar’s Gold and John Abraham’s Satyameva Jayate have completed their three weeks journey at the box office. Both the movies have now slowed down due to new releases but have already achieved the tag of a hit with the help of an excellent opening week.

Directed by Reema Kagti, Gold has received mostly positive reviews from the critics as well as the audience and gained a strong word of mouth. In the 9-days extended first week, it did the business of 89.30 crores that included 71.30 crores on the weekend and 18 crores on weekdays.

In the second week, Excel Entertainment’s production dropped by a considerable rate and registered the business of 14.70 crores with 9.70 crores on the weekend and 5 crores on weekdays. Then in the third weekend, it managed to collect 2.47 crores that included 0.45 crore on 3rd Friday, 0.82 crore on 3rd Saturday, and 1.20 crores on 3rd Sunday.

On weekdays, with further drops, Gold minted the amount of 0.55 crore on 3rd Monday, 0.35 crore on 3rd Tuesday, 0.25 crore on 3rd Wednesday, and 0.20 crore on 3rd Thursday. After 3 weeks, the total collection of this sports drama has become 107.82 crores nett at the domestic box office.

On the other hand, Milap Milan Zaveri’s directorial Satyameva Jayate has also got succeed to hit the target right and did the business of 75.09 crores in the prolonged opening week. In the second week, on a lower note, it raked the business of 13.71 crores. Then in the third weekend, this action thriller has done the business of 1 crore with 0.20 crore on 3rd Friday, 0.30 crore on 3rd Saturday, and 0.50 crore on 3rd Sunday.

On weekdays, SMJ recorded a considerable drop and bagged the amount of 0.20 crore on 3rd Monday, 0.20 crore on 3rd Tuesday, 0.18 crore on 3rd Wednesday, and 0.14 crore on 3rd Thursday. After 3 weeks, the total collection of the movie has become 90.52 crores nett at the domestic box office.
