3rd Day Collection of A Gentleman, Babumoshai Bandookbaaz, Qaidi Band & Sniff

Sidharth Malhotra and Jacqueline Fernandez starrer the romantic action film A Gentleman opened on an average note and witnessed limited growth over the weekend. There is one external reason behind it’s below-expected performance, but it has also received mixed reviews from critics as well as audience.

Directed by Raj & DK, A Gentleman was released on Friday with decent buzz. Despite good budget, star power and promotions, makers got failed to generate desired pre-release hype of the film. On the opening day, it recorded low occupancy due to Punjab-Haryana’s riot and minted only 4.04 crores.

On Saturday despite being weekend, A Gentleman took little jump and raked the business of 4.36 crores. On the next day i.e. Sunday, it showed slight more growth and garnered the business of 4.73 crores. With this, total opening weekend collection of the film has become 13.13 crores at domestic box office.

On the other hand, Kushan Nandy’s directorial crime drama Babumoshai Bandookbaaz has also received mixed reviews from critics but got succeed to entertain most of the audience. On Friday, it recorded dull occupancy of 10-20% and minted 2.05 crores.

On Saturday, Nawazuddin Siddiqui starrer recorded decent jump and collected 2.41 crores. On the next day i.e. Sunday, it added the amount of 3.07 crores to it’s account and raised opening weekend domestic total to 7.53 crores.

While the other two offerings Qaidi Band and Sniff remained on ground with very low occupancy throughout. Yash Raj Films’ musical drama Qaidi Band has raked total 0.30 crore in the opening weekend, with 0.10 crore of Friday, 0.09 crore of Saturday and 0.11 crore of Sunday.

The latter one, Eros International’s presentation action adventure Sniff is being liked by kids but hasn’t received much response so far. It has bagged the collection of 0.60 crore in the weekend, that includes 0.10 crore of Friday, 0.20 crore of Saturday and 0.30 crore of Sunday.
