3rd Day Collection of Judwaa 2, Varun Dhawan Starrer Crosses 59 Crore Total in 1st Weekend

The actor who hasn’t given any flop in his career of 6 years, Varun Dhawan has added one more hit in the list i.e. the recent Hindi offering Judwaa 2. Remake of 1997’s Judwaa and directed by the veteran filmmaker David Dhawan, this action comedy has got succeed to break the dry spell of box office.

After the superhit Badrinath Ki Dulhania, Judwaa 2 is the second movie of Varun in this year and heading with more power than the first. Unfortunately it received mixed reviews from critics, but audience found it entertaining and also liked the acting of Varun in both the roles opposite to Jacqueline and Taapsee.

On the first day, it opened to a fantastic note and did the business of 16.10 crores nett which is fourth highest opening of the year and second best of Varun’s career so far. On the second day i.e. Saturday, due to Dussehra holiday the movie took good jump and minted 20.55 crores.

Then on Sunday, Judwaa 2 showed further growth and managed to collect the highest single day business ever of Varun’s career (excluding Dilwale) with the amount of 22.60 crores. With this, it’s opening weekend total collection has become 59.25 crores nett. from 3500+ screens across the country.

Still Judwaa 2 has one more day to show it’s full potential at box office, as there is a holiday on Monday (October 2) on account of Gandhi Jayanti. As per the trend, the movie seems to touch the mark of 100 crore domestically by this week.
