Independence Day: Resurgence is Leading on Box Office

Bollywood movies have given complete disappointment to audience and also not received even decent response on box office this weekend. Once again Hollywood dominated Bollywood on Indian box office, yes the latest American movie Independence Day: Resurgence has reported far better response than Hindi movies this weekend and diverted most of audience towards itself. Rest audience preferred to watch Punjabi movie Sardaar Ji 2, that means Hindi movies have struggled much.

Nawazuddin Siddiqui & Vicky Kaushal starrer Raman Raghav 2.0 started on a dull note and minted the amount of only 1.10 crore on Friday and 1.40 crore on Saturday. The second one, Yami Gautam & Pulkit Samrat starrer romantic movie Junooniyat reported very low and raked the business of only 0.40 crore on Friday & 0.45 crore* on Saturday. Another one, 7 Hours To Go is just a slot filler and minted 0.15 crore on Friday & 0.16 crore on Saturday.

On Sunday, being holiday all have witnessed slight growth in their business and minted the amount of 1.48 crore, 0.50 crore* and 0.18 crore* respectively. It will be surprising if any one among these three received considerable response in weekdays.

Amma Kanakku, the Tamil remake of Hindi movie Nil Battey Sannata, as expected received positive reviews from critics like the original one did. But has not reported much good on box office. It has done the business of 1.25 crore* on Friday, 0.75 crore* on Saturday and 0.85 crore* on Sunday.

The American science fiction Independence Day: Resurgence has received negative reviews from critics worldwide but still it witnessed good good response on box office in India. It minted the amount of 4.70 crores on its opening day. On Saturday, it received decent growth in its business and raked 5.80 crores. On Sunday, being holiday it witnessed more growth and added the amount of 6.40 crores to its account including all four- English, Hindi, Tamil & Telugu versions.
