5th Day Collection of A Gentleman & Babumoshai Bandookbaaz, Drop Further at Box Office

Sidharth Malhotra and Jacqueline Fernandez’s first collaboration pairing opposite to each other, A Gentleman has showed disappointing performance in the opening weekend. It started the journey on an average note and remained almost throughout due to mixed reviews from critics as well as audience.

Directed by Raj & DK, this romantic action movie has got failed to impress all the critics and audience. Also despite having good star power, budget and promotions, makers hasn’t got succeed to create desired pre release buzz for it.

In the opening weekend, A Gentleman recorded an average occupancy throughout and did the business of 13.13 crores from 2500 screens nationwide. This was included 4.04 crores of Friday, 4.36 crores of Saturday and 4.73 crores of Sunday.

Now Sid-Jackie starrer is running in weekdays and getting more lower response from audience due to normal working days. On Monday with around 50% of drop than Friday, it raked the business of 2.03 crores.

On the next day i.e. Tuesday, with further drop A Gentleman minted the amount of 1.60 crore and raised 5 days business total to 16.76 crores at domestic box office. With this trend, it doesn’t seem able to touch the mark of 20 crores by this week.

On the other hand, Kushan Nandy’s directorial crime drama Babumoshai Bandookbaaz has also received mixed reviews from critics but got succeed to entertain viewers. As a result, it witnessed decent growth over the weekend after an average start.

In the opening weekend, Nawazuddin Siddiqui starrer registered the business of total 7.53 crores, that included 2.05 crores of Friday, 2.41 crores of Saturday and 3.07 crores of Sunday from 1000 screens across the country.

On Monday with around 33% of drop than Friday, Babumoshai Bandookbaaz raked the business of 1.38 crore. While on Tuesday, it added the amount of 1.21 crore to it’s account and raised 5 days domestic total to 10.12 crores.
