5th Day Collection of Toilet Ek Prem Katha TEPK, Emerges 7th Highest Grosser of 2017 in 5 Days

Finally Hindi film industry has found it’s savior, which has ended the long dry spell of box office. At the time when Salman Khan’s Tubelight and Shahrukh Khan’s Jab Harry Met Sejal have got failed to impress audience, Akshay Kumar’s Toilet Ek Prem Katha entered into the battle ground and changed the entire scenario.

In the present time, Akshay Kumar is the synonym to quality content and once again he has proved the statement right with his recent offering Toilet Ek Prem Katha. Directed by Shree Narayan Singh, this satirical romantic drama is being liked by all the viewers.

Entire film industry is appreciating the movie and performances given by the leading duo Akshay-Bhumi. TEPK started the journey on a good note with year’s 6th highest opening in Hindi cinema and picked up impressively well over the weekend due to positive word of mouth.

It did the business of total 51.45 crores in the opening weekend from 3000 screens, that included 13.10 crores of Friday, 17.10 crores of Saturday and 21.25 crores of Sunday. After an excellent weekend, Akshay-Bhumi starrer showing strong performance in weekdays as well.

On Monday, Toilet Ek Prem Katha faced usual drop but still remained good due to partial holiday (Krishna Janmashtami) across the country, and raked the business of 12 crores. Then on Tuesday (Independence Day) once again the movie witnessed exceptional growth and garnered the business of 20 crores.

After 5 days, total collection of Toilet Ek Prem Katha has become 83.45 crores at domestic box office and with this it has emerged as the 7th highest grosser of 2017 so far by surpassing Hindi Medium (69.59 crores). From overseas market, TEPK has grossed around 14.59 crores in 4 days of release.
