7th Day Collection of Simran & Lucknow Central, Complete 1 Week on a Dull Note

Last Friday released, Kangana Ranaut starrer Simran and Farhan Akhtar starrer Lucknow Central have completed the first week on an overall dull note at domestic box office. Both the movies recorded lower response than expected and remained low throughout due to mixed reviews.

Directed by the promising story teller Hansal Mehta, Simran was released with decent expectations. But unfortunately it got failed to impress critics as well as audience despite the excellent performance given by Kangana Ranaut as always.

In the opening weekend, the movie reported some growth but remained on a lower side and raked the business of 10.65 crores that included 2.77 crores of Friday, 3.76 crores of Saturday and 4.12 crores of Sunday from 1500 screens.

Then in weekdays, it dropped by usual rate and minted the amount of 1.41 crore on Monday, 1.25 crore on Tuesday, 1.16 crore on Wednesday and 1.01 crore on Thursday. With this, total one week collection of Simran has become 15.48 crores.

On the other hand, Ranjit Tiwari’s directorial prison escape drama Lucknow Central has also got failed to attract much audience toward theaters despite the solid performances given by all the actors in pivotal roles.

In the first weekend, Farhan Akhtar starrer showed progressive run still remained low and garnered the business of 8.42 crores, that included 2.04 crores of Friday, 2.82 crores of Saturday and 3.56 crores of Sunday from 1200 screens.

Then in weekdays, with usual drops it collected the amount of 1.14 crore on Monday, 1.02 crore on Tuesday, 0.95 crore on Wednesday and 0.85 crore on Thursday. After one week, Lucknow Central raised it’s domestic total to 12.38 crores.
