After a long festive weekend and one extra holiday on Monday, now superstar Mahesh Babu starrer highly awaited Spyder is running in normal working days. Asusual it has now started getting lesser footfalls in theaters than before but still has enough hold over the audience across the Telugu states.
Directed by the very promising AR Murugadoss, Spyder has unfortunately received mixed reviews from critics but audience found it thrilling and showing thumbs up. Alongside Mahesh Babu, the film stars Rakul Preet Singh in a lead role and S.J. Surya as an antagonist, who have given superb performances.
In the 5-days extended weekend, this spy thriller reported wonderful response at box office and did the business of total 100.25 crores gross globally. That was included 51 crores of Wednesday, 18 crores of Thursday, 11 crores of Friday, 10.25 crores of Saturday and 10.85 crores of Sunday with both Telugu & Tamil versions.
The weekend of Spyder total had 49 crores gross share of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, which included 23.40 crores of Wednesday, 7 crores of Thursday, 6 crores of Friday, 6.25 crores of Saturday and 6.35 crores of Sunday from around 1000 screens.
Then on Monday, due to Gandhi Jayanti holiday the film remained strong in India and raked the business of 5.90 crores gross at worldwide box office including 4 crores of AP/TS regions. On Tuesday due to normal working day, it collected 4 crores (2.75 crores of AP/TS) and raised it’s 6 days global total to 110 crores gross.
