8th Day Collection of Tiger Zinda Hai, Emerges Salman Khan’s 4th Highest Grosser

After becoming the second fastest 200 grosser of Salman Khan after 2016’s Sultan, now the last week released Tiger Zinda Hai has emerged as 4th highest grosser of his career so far by dominating 2015’s Prem Ratan Dhan Payo (210.16 crores). Because of solid star power and positive word of mouth, the movie is flying high at box office.

Directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, Tiger Zinda Hai is the sequel to 2012’s blockbuster Ek Tha Tiger and was released with high recall value. As expected, it got massive opening and also remained super strong throughout the first week at domestic as well as international box office.

After year’s biggest opening in Bollywood, Yash Raj Films’ presentation showed remarkable growth over the weekend and did the business of 114.93 crores that included 34.10 crores of Friday, 35.30 crores of Saturday and 45.53 crores on Sunday. On Monday as well, it remained terrific due to Christmas holiday and registered the business of 36.54 crores.

Then in normal weekdays, asusual Tiger Zinda Hai faced considerable drops in footfalls but still managed to maintain a strong pace. With around 36.66% of drop than Friday, it collected 21.60 crores on Tuesday. By witnessing further dips, this action thriller has raked 17.55 crores on Wednesday and 15.42 crores on Thursday.

After the opening week, total collection of Salman-Katrina starrer was recorded as 206.04 crores at domestic box office from 4600 screens in India. Now it has entered in the second weekend and still running on approximately 3500 screens across the country.

On it’s 2nd Friday, Tiger Zinda Hai recorded a drop of around 25% than previous day and minted the amount of 11.56 crores. With this, it’s 8 days total collection has become 217.60 crores. It is all set to surpass the lifetime total of SRK’s Chennai Express (227.13 crores)Salman Khan‘s Kick (231.85 crores) and Hrithik Roshan’s Krrish 3 (244.92 crores) by this weekend.
