Akshay Kumar’s Airlift is Soaring at Box Office

Raja Krishna Menon’s directorial recently released war thriller film ‘Airlift’ is doing fabulously well at box office in India as well as in overseas. It is being loved by everyone and has received super positive reviews from critics as well as moviegoers. Audience find it very gripping and ofcourse inspiring, and all are showing big thumb up to it. The film features superstar Akshay Kumar, who has performed his character brilliantly. That is the reason, everyone saying it as his best performance of career till date. It seems, this year he will surely get award(s) for his worthy performance in Airlift.

In its opening weekend, the film was raked the business of total 44.30 crores on Indian screens with continuous rise in graph due to strong word of mouth. The weekend total includes 12.35 crores of Friday, 14.60 crores of Saturday and 17.35 crores of Sunday. Not only in India but in overseas too, it is getting overwhelmed response from audience. Now it is running in weekdays but still has complete hold over audience and heading smoothly at box office.

On Monday being normal working day, it witnessed a fall of around 40% and minted the amount of 10.40 crores. Then on Tuesday being Republic Day, it experienced terrific growth in the occupancy and did the business of 17.80 crores.  Next day, Airlift again faced a drop of around 65% and added the amount of 6 crores to its account as sixth day collection. Till the end of the day, total 6 days collection of the film is recorded as 78.50 crores at domestic box office.

Airlift has already emerged as the first hit film of the year 2016 and now aiming towards 100 crores with good pace. As per report, it has declared tax-free in the state Uttar Pradesh and is expected to get this tag in other states soon. This will definitely boost up its performance with some rate.
