Total Profit of Varun Dhawan & Alia Bhatt starrer Badrinath Ki Dulhania
Young age superstars Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt’s recent offering Badrinath Ki Dulhania has already emerged as the second clean hit of the year after Akshay Kumar’s Jolly LLB 2 and all set to enter in 100 crore club very soon. With the good content and marvelous performances by the lead stars, this romantic comedy has impressed all it’s viewers including critics.
Due to highly favorable response from audience, Badrinath Ki Dulhania gained strong word of mouth and has performed excellently throughout it’s journey so far at domestic as well as overseas box office. Reportedly, director Shashank Khaitan’s this project has made with a budget of 45 crores, including 30 crores of production cost and 15 crores of marketing cost (Prints & Advertising).
The production banner Dharma Production sold the satellite rights of the film at 22 crores (A) to Colors TV and bagged 16 crores (B) more for it’s music, digital licensing & ancillary rights. Reportedly, all India theatrical rights of Badrinath Ki Dulhania were bought by Fox Star Studios at the amount of 45 crores, which is recovered in few more days.
The film has garnered the business of 112.13 crores till the end of third week of release at domestic box office, this includes approximately 50.46 crores (C) as a share of distributor. From overseas market, Badrinath Ki Dulhania has reported the business of around 34.75 crores till the end of it’s second week, which includes distributor’s share of around 13.90 crores (D).
This means, the total recovery Varun-Alia starrer has done so far is 102.36 crores (A+B+C+D) and the profit it has minted so far is 57.36 crores (127.47% as compare to it’s budget) after deducting the budget.
