‘Bajirao Mastani’ has witnessed 35% Occupancy on 22nd Day
Bajirao Mastani is actually proving the power of ‘word of mouth’, has entered in the fourth week and still has much hold over audience. The last month released this historical love story has showed steady and impressive business till yet. It has already become the third highest grosser film of year 2015 and also surpassed superstar Shahrukh Khan starrer action romantic film Dilwale; which was earlier expected as the sure shot winner of this clash. Not only in India but in overseas also, Bajirao Mastani is doing quite well and grossed near about 100 crores from there so far.
The film is considered as the magnum opus of Sanjay Leela Bhansali and has collected the amount of 170.90 crores in last three weeks on Indian screens. The total collection is comprised with 86.15 crores (weekend- 46.77 cr & weekdays- 39.38 cr) of first week, 55.70 crores (weekend- 34.30 cr & weekdays- 21.40 cr) of second week and 29.05 crores (weekend- 20.50 cr & weekdays- 8.55 cr) of third week. Now it has entered in its fourth week and witnessing almost similar response as new releases.
On its fourth Friday, Bajirao Mastani has recorded the overall occupancy of 35% across the country and raked the business of 1.40 crores as its 22nd day collection. It seems, this epic film is unaffected by year 2016’s first big release Wazir and expected to continue with similar pace till this weekend. Till the end of the day, total collection of Bajirao Mastani is calculated as 172.30 crores.
