After making not so good performance on screens in first weekend the latest Bollywood romantic thriller movie Bombay Velvet has now completed its second weekday i.e. fifth day on screens. As till now, movie has failed to become the leading scorer on the box office cash registers from this Friday as expected making other competitors run without much trouble. Ranbir, Anushka and Karan Johar starrer romantic drama started Tuesday on a dull note on account of weekday again. Total Tuesday income closed at only 1.45 crore; faced a drop again than yesterday.

The screen count declined due to firstly weekdays, and then people attraction towards other decent options running in the theaters like Gabbar Is Back, Piku etc. Movie could not manage to rake in moolah at the box office to the level of hypes raised before its release. Tuesday as we all know always results in lowered response and performance for any movie whether biggie or medium. Audience was there out in the cinemas but not in that much rushes or crowd as was being seen in early weekend implying lesser income in account of movie today.

Even popularity of Ranbir Kapoor is not bringing much response of viewers towards it hence there is not much difference between the weekend and weekdays performance. Movie is doing average business from the first day of its release. It has been dramatized on different type of love story set in the retro atmosphere between the jazz singer Rosie and Johnny who is the main focus.

Tuesday: 1.45 Cr
Total: 19.65 Cr

Story of the movie did not received much positive reviews from the viewers and this might be biggest reason behind slow performance. Ranbir Kapoor’s comeback, Anushka’s charm or Karan’s humor altogether foes not seems to attract much audience.
