Followed by advance bookings till end of Sunday, Ranbir Kapoor starrer latest movie Bombay Velvet managed to receive an above ordinary response from the audience. There is a rush for movie in cinema halls that resulted in opening day income of around 5.20 crores. Movie have evoked as a good opening in cities and urban areas but remained less successful in the single screens. However, in multiplexes, bookings were beyond average and it can be estimated that the movie will do well business on box office in metropolitan cities and urban areas. Apart from this, it is a comic romantic drama, hence grabbing the attention of all the fan followers of Ranbir Kapoor.

Movie is doing excellent business on its opening day. It can be expected that this movie will for sure bang box office. Almost all the tickets have been booked by the audience in advance and bookings are higher than Roy. It is performing quite well on cinema screens today. As the movie has been launched on solo competition, it acted as an advantage to the opening day performance.
