18 Days Total Collection of Ae Dil Hai Mushkil (ADHM)
Ranbir Kapoor’s Ae Dil Hai Mushkil had witnessed overwhelmed response of audience so far and did excellent business. But now demonetization policy has affected its business also and pulled it down to ground. Being highly promoted, it has been released with immense excitement of fans and as expected received positive reviews of critics because of its youthful story, music and marvelous performances of lead stars.
Karan Johar’s Ae Dil Hai Mushkil clashed with Ajay Devgn’s Shivaay this Diwali and had taken higher opening than that. In the opening week, this romantic drama recorded very good occupancy through out in multiplexes and did the business of 80.19 crores including 35.60 crores of weekend and 44.59 crores of weekdays.
In the second week too, it remained almost strong and registered the business of 24.67 crores with 16.96 crores of weekend and 7.71 crores of weekdays. Now the movie is running in its third week and has adjacent release Shivaay and new release Rock On 2 in opposite.
In its third weekend, Ae Dil Hai Mushkil had reported average business of 3.40 crores, that included 0.90 crore of Friday, 1.19 crore of Saturday and 1.51 crore of Sunday. After 17 days of release, total collection of the movie was recorded as 108.26 crores on domestic box office.
Once again it is in weekdays and asusual expected to get lesser response than before. Despite being holiday due to Gurpurab on Monday, Ae Dil Hai Mushkil witnessed lesser response than Friday and added the amount of 0.52 crore to its account. With this its 18 days domestic total has become 108.78 crores and heading to surpass the lifetime total of Akshay Kumar’s Housefull 3 (109.14 crores).
