Ranbir Kapoor’s recent offering Ae Dil Hai Mushkil has become the third movie of his career to enter in 100 crore club on domestic box office after Barfi! & Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani. Being much promoted and hyped, it has been released with immense excitement of fans and as expected received excellent response on box office across the country as well as from international market.

Ae Dil Hai Mushkil has a touching story, very youthful music and marvelous performances of lead stars, which makes it one of the complete entertaining movies of the year. Everyone liked it and showed huge thumbs up, especially they loved the awards winning acting of Ranbir. From critics also, the movie has received very positive reviews.

In the opening week, this Karan Johar’s directorial had witnessed terrific response from audience and did the excellent business of 80.19 crores from Indian screens. This was included the 35.60 crores of weekend and 44.59 crores of weekdays. Because of holidays on Monday & Tuesday, it remained impressive in weekdays too.

Now Ae Dil Hai Mushkil is running in the second week and still has good hold over audience despite the much awaited adjacent release Shivaay. In its second weekend, the movie raked the business of 16.96 crores, including 4.56 crores of Friday, 5.85 crores of Saturday and 6.55 crores of Sunday.

Once again, it is in weekdays and getting lesser response than earlier. On its 2nd Monday, Ae Dil Hai Mushkil recorded almost 45% of drop than last Friday and did the business of 2.55 crores. Then on the next day i.e. Tuesday, with slight more drop the movie has minted the amount of 2.35 crores and made its total domestic collection as 102.05 crores.

As per the official announcement of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, from 9th of November 2016 (00:01 am) ₹500 & ₹1000 notes will not be acceptable for transactions. Also banks & ATMs are closed for 2 days (9th & 10th Nov.) across the country, so this can affect the business of Ae Dil Hai Mushkil on box office.
