Ranbir Kapoor, Anushka Sharma & Aishwarya Rai Bachchan starrer recent offering, Ae Dil Hai Mushkil has taken good initial lead over the adjacent release Ajay Devgn’s Shivaay. Because of its heart touching story, youthful music and profound performances by the lead stars, this Karan Johar’s directorial has received very positive reviews from critics as well as moviegoers.

Being a complete entertaining flick, Ae Dil Hai Mushkil is getting overwhelmed response from audience across the country as well as overseas. Everyone liked it, especially the award winning performance of Ranbir. All these positive reactions have generated strong word of mouth about the movie and attracting more audience toward theaters.

On the opening day, this romantic drama had recorded excellent occupancy of 40-45% across India and registered the sixth highest opening of the year so far. It did the business of 13.30 crores on Friday and reportedly major contribution in its business was made by multi-screen cinemas.

On Saturday despite the hectic-ness of Chhoti Diwali, the movie remained strong and the first choice of audience. With almost similar occupancy, it reported the business of 13.10 crores on its second day. Then on the last day of weekend i.e. Sunday, being Diwali theaters witnessed lesser footfall.

As per the report, on its third day Ae Dil Hai Mushkil received slightly lesser occupancy than Saturday and added the amount of 9.20 crores to its account. With this, its opening weekend total collection has become 35.60 crores on domestic box office.
