Opening Day Collection of Sonakshi Sinha’s Akira

This week’s fresh offering, the action-thriller Akira has taken a decent start at box office. The performance is actually average but as compare to its earlier expectations and also there was Bharat Bandh on Friday, so it can be considerable as decent. Being female centric, the movie is getting huge support of Bollywood. Also it has received positive reviews from most of critics as well as moviegoers.

Audience liked Akira and showing thumbs up for it. The actress Sonakshi Sinha is being praised by everyone for giving power-packed performance. As per critics, in her latest offering she has given the best performance of career so far. Filmmaker Anurag Kashyap has played his role of villain superbly well. Rest all the actors have justified their characters.

On the opening day, Akira started with a low occupancy of 15% across the country. After the positive response of viewers as well as critics, it reported decent growth from evening shows. Multiplexes have contributed much to its opening business. Despite Bharat Bandh on Friday, A.R.Murugadoss’ directorial has managed to collect the amount of 5.15 crores with overall 30% of occupancy.

In UAE-GCC, Akira dominated the opened record of Sonam Kapoor’s Neerja. It reported the business of $1,39,000  i.e. 92.91 lacs on Thursday, whereas Neerja minted the slightly lesser amount of $1,35,000. Due to positive word of mouth, the movie is positively expected to take rise on Saturday and Sunday.
