Box Office: Akshay Kumar’s Rustom Grosses 200 Cr Total Worldwide in 16 Days

Recent Hindi thriller offering Rustom has emerged as the second movie of superstar Akshay Kumar to gross over 200 crores on worldwide box office after Airlift. Rustom has taken 16 days for this, while Airlift crossed the mark in 24 days. So with this, the latest one has also become the fastest 200 crores grosser movie of his career.

Neeraj Pandey’s third collaboration with Akshay, Rustom has received overwhelmed response from audience across the globe in last 2 weeks and still heading with good pace. It is positively expected to surpass the lifetime total of Airlift (128.10 crores net).

In last 2 weeks, Tinu Suresh Desai’s directorial did the business of 117.01 crores which included 90.90 crores of first week and 26.11 crores of second week. Now the movie is running in its third weekend and despite fresh release A Flying Jatt, it has enough hold over audience.

On its third Friday, it managed to collect the amount of 1.29 crore. Then on Saturday, being weekend it showed little and collected the amount of 1.89 crore. With this total 16 days collection of Rustom has become 120.19 crores net and 166.93 crores gross.

From overseas market too, it has reported quite good business of around 37 crores so far and made its worldwide total as 203.93 crores. Rustom is now the third movie of Bollywood that has grossed more than 200 crores at worldwide box office so far after Sultan & Airlift.
