Box Office: Baahubali 2 37th Day Collection, Still Performs Better than Many New Offerings

Ace director’s SS Rajamouli’s latest offering Baahubali 2 has dominated all previous box office records of Indian cinema and emerged as the biggest blockbuster ever. In last 5 weeks, it reported impressive performance and raked over 1000 crores nett nationwide including all the versions and 500 crores nett with it’s Hindi version alone.

Even after 5th week, second installment of the franchise Baahubali still not showing any sign of slow-down. Despite having number of new offerings in opposite, Baahubali 2 is heading unaffectedly and comparatively on a stronger note in the 6th week. On 6th Friday with almost 30% of drop than previous day, it minted the amount of 1.60 crore (Hindi 0.72cr | TTM 0.88cr).

Then on the next day i.e. Saturday, due to weekend the movie showed slight growth and bagged the amount of 2.20 crores (Hindi 1.03cr | TTM 1.17cr). With this, total 37 days total collection of Baahubali 2 has become 1010.90 crores (Hindi 502.93cr | TTM 507.97cr).

In last 5 weeks, Prabhas starrer showed outstanding performance and dominated all the movies came in it’s way. It garnered the business of 1007.10 crores nett in 35 days of release, that included 534 crores of week-1, 266 crores of week-2, 128 crores of week-3, 55 crores of week-4 and 24.10 crores of week-5.

Baahubali 2 is yet to release in China and like Dangal it is also expected to take box office by storm there. Only after that, this epic action drama will be able to acquire it’s first position back from Aamir Khan starrer, which has grossed higher globally.
