Box Office: Badrinath Ki Dulhania 16th Day Collection, Continues it’s Winning Strike

Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt starrer recent collaboration Badrinath Ki Dulhania has already emerged as the first super movie hit of 2017 and still has good hold over the audience despite new Hindi offerings at box office. With good initial buzz, this romantic comedy was released on 10th of March and performed excellently so far.

With good content and impressive performances by the lead stars, Badrinath Ki Dulhania received huge appreciation from everyone including critics. In the opening week, Shashank Khaitan’s directorial witnessed amazing response and did the excellent business of 73.66 crores from more than 3000 screens, which was including 43.05 crores of weekend and 30.61 crores of weekdays.

In the second week too, Dharma Productions and Fox Star Studios’ presentation remained strong despite new releases and reported the good business of 27.08 crores with 17.56 crores of weekend and 9.52 crores of weekdays. After 2 weeks, total collection of Badrinath Ki Dulhania was recorded as 100.74 crores on domestic box office. With which, it has emerged as the second movie of Alia and third of Varun to enter in 100 crore club.

Now this second installment of the franchise that began in 2014 with Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania, is running in the third week and still has good hold over the audience. With usual drop of 35% than previous day, Badrinath Ki Dulhania raked the business of 1.35 crore on 3rd Friday. On Saturday, with good jump it collected the amount of 2.35 crore and made it’s 16 days domestic collection as 104.44 crores. With this, it has emerged as the highest grossing movie of Alia’s career so far.
