Box Office: Badrinath Ki Dulhania 20th Day Collection, Varun-Alia’s Film Earns Near 111.10 Cr Total

Second installment of the franchise that was began with Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania in 2014, Badrinath Ki Dulhania has already become the first superhit film of the year and still heading to achieve more height. It has also acquired the third position among year’s top grossing films so far after Shahrukh Khan’s Raees and Akshay Kumar’s Jolly LLB 2.

Audience found Badrinath Ki Dulhania very entertaining with a good message and showed big thumbs up for it. From critics also, the film has received positive reviews and gained strong word of mouth. With an impressive start, this romantic comedy reported an excellent business of 73.66 crores throughout the opening week, which was including 43.05 crores of weekend and 30.61 crores of weekdays from around 3000 screens across India.

Despite several new Hindi offerings, Shashank Khaitan’s directorial remained strong and minted the amount of 27.08 crores in it’s second week, with 17.56 crores of weekend and 9.52 crores of weekdays. Now Badrinath Ki Dulhania is running in the third week and successfully cashed the weekend despite new releases Phillauri & Anaarkali Of Aarah.

Once again, Varun-Alia starrer is in weekdays and getting lesser footfalls in theaters than before. With 17% of fall than last Friday, it managed to collect the amount of 1.12 crore on Monday. Then with some rise, the film added the amount of 1.20 crore to it’s account on Tuesday. On the next day i.e. Wednesday, Badrinath Ki Dulhania minted 1.10 crore and made it’s 20 days domestic total as 111.11 crores.
