Box Office: Badrinath Ki Dulhania 23rd Day Collection, Stays Steady on 4th Saturday

After passing 3 weeks on an impressive note, Karan Johar’s recent venture Badrinath Ki Dulhania still refusing to slow down at box office despite new releases. Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt starrer this romantic comedy was released on 10th of March with immense excitement of their fans and as expected received favorable response from audience.

With a strong hold over the audience throughout it’s journey so far, Badrinath Ki Dulhania has emerged as the first super hit movie of the year. Also it become the highest grosser of Alia Bhatt and second highest of Varun Dhawan‘s career so far. This is the third collaboration of both the actors together after 2012’s Student Of The Year and 2014’s Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania.

In the opening week, Shashank Khaitan’s directorial witnessed excellent response throughout and did the business of 73.66 crores, which was including 43.05 crores of weekend and 30.61 crores of weekdays. In the second week too, the movie remained strong and raked the business of 27.08 crores with 17.56 crores of weekend and 9.52 crores of weekdays.

In the third week, it reported usual drop but still managed to garner decent business of 11.39 crores, including 6.95 crores of weekend and 4.44 crores of weekdays. After 3 weeks of release, total collection of Badrinath Ki Dulhania was recorded as 112.13 crores on domestic box office.

Now the movie is in it’s fourth week and enjoying the weekend on a decent note On 4th Friday, Varun-Alia starrer managed to collect the amount of 0.50 crore with 50% of drop than previous day. On the next day i.e. Saturday, with some growth it minted the amount of 0.72 crore and made it’s 23 days domestic total as 113.35 crores.
