Badrinath Ki Dulhania is the second installment from Dharma Productions’ franchise, that was began in 2014 with Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania. Being highly awaited, the movie has been released on Friday with immense excitement of their fans as well as audience and as expected received overwhelmed response from them across the country.

With the mind blowing performances by lead stars and good storyline, Badrinath Ki Dulhania has impressed all its viewers and also received positive reviews from all the critics. As always, the very successful star kids have given heart winning performances in the movie and are being appreciated by everyone.

Director Shashank Khaitan’s this latest offering had reported overall good occupancy throughout the opening day and minted the amount of 12.25 crores from more than 3000 screens in India. With this, it has registered the third highest opening of the year so far after SRK’s Raees (20.42 crores) and Akshay Kumar’s Jolly LLB 2 (13.20 crores). This is also the third highest opening of Varun and Alia’s career individually so far.

Badrinath Ki Dulhania is getting equally good response from single as well as multi screen audience, which is the great advantage for it. On the second day i.e. Saturday, due to weekend and positive word of mouth, the movie witnessed around 20% of growth in its business graph and garnered the business of 14.75 crores.

With this, 2 days total collection of BKD has become 27 crores on domestic box office. That means, in couple of days it has surpassed the lifetime total of Aditya Roy Kapur & Shraddha Kapoor’s OK Jaanu (23.64 crores). Still the movie has Sunday and Monday (Holiday due to Holi), so it can score a strong total in the opening week.
