5 Days Total Collection of Beauty And The Beast from Indian Screens

This week’s new offering from Hollywood, much awaited Beauty And The Beast has dominated all the new Hindi films at Indian box office. This is the not first time when Hollywood performed better than Bollywood at it’s own ground. Because of increasing craze of American movies among Indian audience, this has happened many times in past also.

With good buzz, Emma Watson and Dan Stevens starrer this musical romantic dark fantasy was released in India and received favorable response from all the viewers as well as critics. As a result, it remained steady on the box office throughout the opening weekend and still has good hold in weekdays.

On the opening day, Bill Condon’s directorial reported 15% of occupancy across the country on around 600 screens and did the business of 1.42 crore, while adjacent Hindi offerings- Machine, Aa Gaya Hero & Trapped remained lower far lower than it. On the next day i.e. Saturday with good growth, Beauty And The Beast added the amount of 2.45 crores to it’s account.

Then with more growth, the movie minted the amount of 2.80 crores and made it’s opening weekend total as 6.67 crores. Now it is running in weekdays and asusual getting lesser footfalls in theaters than before due to normal working days. On Monday, Beauty And The Beast faced around 30% of drop than Friday and raked 0.98 crore.

On Tuesday, it recorded slight more drop and garnered the business of 0.97 crore. With this, 5 days total collection of Beauty And The Beast has become 8.62 crores on Indian box office. The movie can collect over 10 crores by the end of this week.
