3 Days Total Collection of ‘Commando 2’
Director Deven Bhojani’s recent venture Commando 2 has been released this Friday and passed the opening weekend on a decent but retrogressive note. Instead of taking growth over the weekend, the movie witnessed little drops. Once again Hollywood has dominated Bollywood on Indian box office, as Logan performed better than Vidyut Jammwal starrer so far.
Because of the story that has already been used in many Hindi movies, Commando 2 has received mixed reviews from critics but they have praised the performances of lead actors. Audience liked the movie and got impressed with jaw-dropping action sequences done by Bollywood’s new action hero Vidyut Jammwal.
On the opening day, producer Vipul Shah’s this second installment from the franchise Commando reported average occupancy and registered the better opening than previous installment i.e. Commando (3.69 crores) and last week released Rangoon (5.05 crores). It minted the amount of 5.14 crores from 2200 screens (including Hindi, Telugu & Tamil) across India on Friday.
On Saturday despite favorable response of audience, Commando 2 faced drop in its footfalls and added the amount of 4.42 crores with all the versions. On the last day of weekend i.e. Sunday, the movie showed growth and managed to collect the amount of 6.19 crores, which has made its opening weekend total collection as 15.75 crores on domestic box office.
After such performance, Commando 2 doesn’t seem to hold much in weekdays, as English movie Logan is being preferred by multiplex audience, which has garnered the business of 17.10 crores in this weekend including 4.75 crores on Friday, 5.75 crores on Saturday and 6.60 crores on Sunday.
