Box Office: Commando 2 7th Day Collection, Completes 1st Week with 23+ Cr Total

7 Days Total Collection of Vidyut Jammwal’s Commando 2

Last Friday released Vidyut Jammwal’s much awaited action thriller Commando 2 has completed it’s opening week on an average note but better than what Saif Ali Khan, Shahid Kapoor & Kangana Ranaut starrer Rangoon did in its first week. The movie has impressed most of its viewers with jaw-dropping action sequences performed by Vidyut but still it lagged behind the adjacent English offering Logan.

Due to similar story as several previous Hindi releases, Commando 2 has not received much positive reviews from critics but with the support of fans as well as audience, it surpassed the lifetime total of its prequel Commando (21.47 crores) and recent Hindi movie Rangoon (19.65 crores*) within the opening week.

Deven Bhojani’s directorial this second installment from the franchise Commando reported an average occupancy throughout in the first weekend and did the decent business of 15.75 crores from around 2200 screens in India including Hindi, Telugu & Tamil versions. The weekend total was including 5.14 crore of Friday, 4.42 crores of Saturday and 6.19 crores of Sunday.

Then in weekdays, asusual the movie faced abrupt fall in its business graph. On Monday, it faced the drop of around 56% than Friday and added the amount of 2.24 crores. With further declination, Vipul Shah’s venture minted the amount of 1.93 crore on Tuesday and 1.72 crore on Wednesday.

On the last day of week i.e. Thursday, Commando 2 garnered the amount of 1.43 crore and made its one week total collection as 23.07 crores on domestic box office. While the adjacent English movie Logan has done the business of 26.03 crores from India in this week, including 17.10 crores of weekend and 8.93 crores of weekdays (Mon 2.48cr, Tue 2.26cr, Wed 2.14cr, Thu 2.05cr).
