Box Office: Dangal 10th Day Collection, Enters in 250 Cr Club with 2nd Weekend Domestically

10 Days Total Collection of Aamir Khan’s Dangal

After accomplishing the mark of 50 crore in 2 days, 100 crore in 3 days, 150 crore in 5 days and 200 crore in 8 days on domestic box office, now with the end of its 10th day, Dangal has entered in 250 crore club on domestic box office. Due to enormous hype, superstar Aamir Khan starrer this sports biopic was released last Friday and witnessed overwhelmed response of audience across the country as well as overseas. From critics also, it has received very positive reviews, which generated strong word of mouth about it.

With its masterly crafted story and brilliant performances by the lead actors, Dangal has impressed everyone and is being highly appreciated. Based on the real life of former Indian wrestler Mahavir Singh Phogat and his daughters Geeta Phogat & Babita Kumari, who are now the world class female wrestlers. Because of super positive reactions from audience as well as critics, the movie remained rock-steady and become the first Indian movie to rake more than 20 crores in each day for first 7 days of release.

In the opening week, Nitesh Tiwari’s directorial Dangal was recorded tremendous occupancy through out and did the phenomenal business of 197.54 crores, including 107.01 crores of weekend (Fri 29.78cr, Sat 34.82cr, Sun 42.41cr) and 90.53 crores of weekdays (Mon 25.69cr, Tue 23.09cr, Wed 21.46cr, Thu 20.29cr). Now the movie is running in its second week and still has excellent hold over the audience worldwide.

On its 2nd Friday, Aamir’s recent offering reported almost 10% of drop than previous day and added the amount of 18.59 crores to its account. Being weekend on Saturday, Dangal showed good growth in its business and scored 23.07 crores. Then on the last day of weekend i.e. Sunday, the movie received more impressive growth and minted the amount of 32.04 crores, which has made its 10 days domestic total as 271.24 crores.

With this, it has surpassed the lifetime total of Krrish 3 (244.92 crores) and become 5th highest grossing movie of all time domestically. Not only in India but from international market too, Dangal is getting very surprising response and raked more than 140 crores from there till Sunday.
