Nitesh Tiwari’s directorial sports biopic Dangal is running in its second week and still has very strong hold over audience across the country as well as overseas. Being year’s highly awaited, this Aamir Khan starrer was released with enormous buzz among fans and as expected impressed everyone with its inspiring content. The movie has got overwhelmed response from viewers and received super positive reviews from critics as well as moviegoers.

Based on the real life of former wrestling champion Mahavir Singh Phogat and his daughters Geeta Phogat and Babita Phogat, Dangal is being appreciated by everyone. Especially for the brilliant performances given by the lead stars. On its 2nd Friday, Nitesh Tiwari’s directorial recorded minimal drop than the previous day and raked the business of 18.59 crore, with which it has surpassed the lifetime total of Aamir’s 3 Idiots (). On the next day i.e. 2nd Saturday being new year eve, Dangal reported impressive growth in its occupancy and collected the amount of 23.07 crores, which made its 9 days total collection as 239.20 crores. From international market too, Aamir’s recent offering received quite excellent response and done the business of 131.02 crores from there till Saturday.
