Box Office: Dangal Enters in 1000 Cr Club Worldwide, Grosses Over 290 Cr Total from China

Aamir Khan’s Dangal Becomes the 2nd Indian 1000 Cr Film after Baahubali 2

After the biggest blockbuster ever Baahubali 2, Aamir Khan’s Dangal emerged as the second Indian film to enter in 1000 crore club (gross) worldwide. With it’s phenomenal run in China, this sports biopic left everyone stunned and grossed over 290 crores in just 9 days from there.

Last Friday on 5th of May, Nitesh Tiwari’s directorial was released in China on massive 9000 screens. With an impressive opening, it did the business of 78.31 crores ($12.17mn) in the opening weekend, that was included 14.62 crores ($2.27mn) of Friday, 28.40 crores ($4.42mn) of Saturday and 35.29 crores ($5.48mn) of Sunday.

Then in weekdays too, it refused to slowdown and minted the excellent business of 86.28 crores ($13.40mn) with 19.38 crores ($3.01mn) of Monday, 22.66 crores ($3.52mn) of Tuesday, 25.18 crores ($3.91mn) of Wednesday and 19.06 crores ($2.96mn) on Thursday.

After a week, total gross collection of Dangal at China box office was recorded as 164.59 crores ($25.57mn). Now Aamir Khan starrer is in the weekend once again and cashing it with more power than before.

On 2nd Friday, it took fair jump than the previous day and added the amount of 39.85 crores ($6.21mn). On Saturday being weekend it recorded earth shattering response and collected the incredible amount of 88.95 crores ($13.86mn).

With this, 9 days gross total of Dangal has become 293.39 crores ($46.34mn) from China. In it’s initial release, the film did the business of 716 crores gross from India plus overseas and then approx. 20 crores ($3mn) gross from Taiwan. Including all, it’s worldwide gross total has raised to 1029.39 crores.
