Producer Sajid Nadiadwala has hit the hat-trick with the success of his recent venture Dishoom. John Abraham, Varun Dhawan and Jacqueline Fernandez starrer this action-adventure movie has been released with much buzz among fans as well as audience. Being solo Hindi release, it witnessed decent response in the opening week across the country as well as overseas.

Unfortunately it has not received much positive reviews from critics as well as moviegoers but audience reacted in favor of it, which led it to the safe side. With decent run on box office, Dishoom has become the 8th highest grossing movie of the year so far. With this, actor Varun Dhawan also kept maintained his winning stride. So far in his career he hasn’t tasted any pure failure.

In the opening week, Dishoom did the business of total 53.34 crores including 37.32 crores of weekend and 16.02 crores of weekdays. In the second week due to no big release, it kept much hold over audience and registered the business of 14.63 crores that included 10.05 crores of weekend and 4.58 crores of weekdays.

After two weeks, total collection of Dishoom was recorded as 67.97 crores net on domestic box office. Now the movie is running in the third week and witnessed lesser response in the weekend, due to two much awaited movies- Akshay Kumar’s Rustom and Hrithik Roshan’s Mohenjo Daro.

On Friday, it faced around 50% of drop than previous day and collected 0.51 crore. On the next day, being Saturday it received slight rise and minted the amount of 0.70 crore. On the last day of weekend i.e. Sunday, it recorded little higher and added the amount of 1.05 crore to its account. With this, total domestic collection of Dishoom till 3rd weekend has become 70.23 crores.
