Box Office: Janatha Garage 1st Day Collection, Takes Excellent Start Worldwide

First Day Collection of Jr NTR’s Janatha Garage

Superstar Jr NTR’s recent offering, the action-drama Telugu/Malayalam movie Janatha Garage has opened up on an excellent note and as expected getting overwhelmed response from Telugu audience across the globe. Being year’s one of the much awaited movies, it has been released with enormous hype and witnessed tremendous welcome on box office.

Koratala Siva’s directorial Janatha Garage features Jr NTR, Mohanlal, Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Nithya Menen in lead roles. All the stars have given wonderful performances and are being praised by everyone. Audience liked the movie and showing huge thumbs up for it. From critics also, Jr NTR starrer has received very positive reviews, which has boosted the excitement level of fans.

Reportedly the movie released with a screen count of around 2000 worldwide, that includes 1000 screens of Telugu states- Andhra Pradesh & Telangana, 500 screens of Kerala, Karnataka & Chennai, 100 screens of rest India, 200 screens of USA and 197 screens of other international markets.

On the opening day, as predicted Janatha Garage recorded almost 90% of occupancy in Andhra Pradesh-Telangana and registered the outstanding business of 21 crores from there. From Karnataka and other regions of the country, it has reported around 7 crores. With this total domestic opening collection of the movie has become 28 crores net.

Not only from India, but from overseas market too Janatha Garage has reported impressive business. Reportedly it has done the business of around 4.92 crores from USA including premiere shows of Wednesday and 1.90 crore from rest international markets, that has made its opening day worldwide total as 34.82 crores net (41 crores gross). The movie is positively expected to remain strong till the entire weekend, as word of mouth is strong.
