Box Office: Jolly LLB 2 17th Day Collection, Emerges as Akshay Kumar’s 6th Highest Grosser So Far

Superstar Akshay Kumar’s latest offering Jolly LLB 2 was released on 10th of February with immense excitement of his fans as well as audience and as expected received very favorable response from them. The movie has performed excellently in its last two weeks and still heading with good pace. With the end of its third weekend, it has surpassed the lifetime total of 2016’s Housefull 3 on domestic box office.

From critics also, Jolly LLB 2 has received very positive reviews and gained strong word of mouth. As a result, it remained strong throughout its journey so far despite several new Hindi releases. It has also surpassed the lifetime total of Hrithik Roshan’s one month ago released Kaabil and become second highest grossing movie of the year so far after SRK’s Raees.

In the opening week, Subhash Kapoor’s directorial this satirical comedy drama witnessed amazing response from audience and did the business of 77.71 crores from Indian screens, which was including 50.46 crores of weekend and 27.25 crores of weekdays. In the second week too, Jolly LLB 2 remained strong and minted total 26.74 crores with 17.73 crores of weekend and 9.01 crores of weekdays.

Now the movie is running in its third week opposite to newly released Saif Ali Khan, Shahid Kapoor & Kangana Ranaut’s Rangoon and enjoyed the weekend on a fair note. It faced around 13% of drop than previous day and added the amount of 1.75 crore on 3rd Friday to its account.

On Saturday, Jolly LLB 2 showed decent growth and raked the amount of 2.01 crores. On the last day of weekend i.e. Sunday, it showed more growth and done the business of 2.50 crores, which has made its total domestic collection after third weekend as 110.71 crores. With this, Akshay Kumar starrer has emerged as his 6th highest grossing movie so far by surpassing Housefull 3 (109.14 crores).
