23 Days Total Collection of Hrithik’s Kaabil & SRK’s Raees
Year’s two of the much awaited movies, Raees and Kaabil were released together a day before Republic Day and have completed their 3 weeks journey on box office with overall excellent note. Both the movies have received favorable response from viewers but also faced much loss in business due to this clash.
Being superstar Shahrukh Khan starrer, crime action thriller Raees was released with enormous hype among audience and as expected witnessed amazing response across the country. With huge initial buzz, it did the business of 118.36 crores from Indian screens in the opening week despite clash.
In the second week, the movie faced abrupt drop in its occupancy and reported the business of 16.40 crores. Then in the third week it had highly buzzed newly released Jolly LLB 2 of superstar Akshay Kumar in opposite, Raees witnessed more drop and registered the business of only 1.65 crore in its third weekend.
In weekdays, asusual Rahul Dholakia’s directorial recorded lesser footfalls in theaters and minted the amount of 0.21 crore on Monday, 0.27 crore on Tuesday, 0.20 crore on Wednesday and 0.17 crore on Thursday. With this, total 3 weeks collection of Raees has become 137.26 crores on domestic box office.
On the other hand, superstar Hrithik Roshan’s Kaabil was also released with immense excitement of fans and received positive response from audience across the country. With good word of mouth, it remained steady throughout the opening week and did the business of 82.18 crores.
Then in the second week, Sanjay Gupta’s directorial also recorded much drop but it managed to score higher than Raees and raked the amount of 17.09 crores. Opposite to newly release Jolly LLB 2, Kaabil registered the business of 2.65 crores in the third weekend.
In weekdays, asusual the movie witnessed lesser response and added the amount of 0.32 crore on Monday, 0.40 crore on Tuesday, 0.29 crore on Wednesday and 0.24 crores on Thursday. With this, total 2 weeks domestic total of Kaabil has become 103.17 crores.
